Obituary of Latashia Shawntae Roper

Our beloved angel gained her wings on June 21st, 2021. She was 39 years old and passed away in Cincinnati, OH. Latashia Shawntae Roper was born at Fort Ord Hospital and she grew up in Seaside, Ca. She attended school at Highland Elementary, King Middle School, and she graduated from Monterey High School in 1999. She loved being with her friends and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

She had many friends, and everyone who was a part of her life knew that she was a true friend and she would do anything for them.

She is preceded in death by her father (Edward L. Roper), her grandfather (Henry Porter Sr.) (deceased), and her two uncles (Henry Porter Jr.) (Kenneth Ray Porter).

She is survived by her mother Valerie Porter Roper, her grandmother Margaret Porter, her kids Elazia Parker, Antonio Parker, Zyannieshia Mcguill, Taejon Harris, and Szyion Harris. Also, by her uncles Ronald Porter, Derek Porter, Thomas Porter, her aunts Margaret Robinson, Vicky Davis, and Debra Bolger, and her siblings Kiya Denmark, Dion Bankhead, Robert Turner, Jamal, Devin, and Mylia Carter.

“Until we meet again. We will think about you always, We talk about you still, You have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk and guide us through our lives. God, our father because of your great mercy, until we meet again.

Private services will be held on 7/21/21, family only.
