Obituary of Ron Praneel Prakash

Ron Praneel Prakash of Seaside, California, USA, previously of Tamavua, Fiji Islands, passed away on Sunday, June 30th of 2019 at the young age of 40 due to a massive heart attack. Ron is the eldest son of Gyan and Sarojni Prakash of Marina, California, older to Robin and Roden Prakash.

 

Ron and his family migrated from Tamavua, Fiji in 1995 to settle in Seaside, California where he met the love the of his life, Christina Borrego. Their love story began on the beautiful Monterey High School campus where they dated for several years until they married in May of 2005. Together they lived happily with their puppies Shammy and Neo, celebrating their love for their families and each other on a daily basis. Ron succeeded in several careers from Mann Packing Co., O’Reilly’s Auto, until he finally landed at his dream profession as a Finance Manager with Victory Toyota in Seaside.

 

Ron is well-known for his contagious laughter, infectious smile, and most of all his compassion. Ron knew no stranger, in fact he welcomed everyone into his life as his family, embracing every moment with them as if it were his last. Neither time nor distance was never an issue for Ron, as he made every effort to show his love for all his family. He will always continue to be a light that burns in the hearts of those who knew him, even if for a moment.

 

Ron’s zest for life was his defining attribute. His passion for cars and racing, motor bikes, traveling, silly adventures and road trips was well known. Most of all his devotion for his nieces and nephews; time was no restriction nor limit. He was truly selfless, and the best uncle and father figure the children ever had.

 

Ron is survived by his wonderful wife Christina, parents Gyan and Sarojini, brothers Robin and Roden, Sister-in-Laws Jennifer Bailey, Nena and Elaina Prakash, eight beautiful nieces and nephews, Kyle, Blake, Liliana, Autumn, Rowan, Kiera, Gia, Jay, Micah and Zoé, Father-in-Law Ron Borrego, Mother-in-Law Pamala Borrego, numerous cousins, and not forgetting the countless friends.

 

A funeral service in honor of Ron’s life will be held Friday, July 5th, 2019 at 8:30am at Mission Mortuary located at 450 Camino El Estero in Monterey, CA proceeding a reception between 12-3pm at the Monterey Marriott.
