We grew up next door to Patrick, he was always hard working. Raised solely by his mother, a Japanese immigrant. He had a paper route at 12 and worked helping his mother clean offices in Carmel and Pacific Grove. A great bike rider, he would often crash but pick him self up like nothing happened. He was a regular Evil Can-Evil dare devil! I went with him to MBS if he needed a new pair of Jeans, I won't say how he procured it though...we would sweep the outside of Baja Burger's for a burger. He liked to play games with us like Wild-Wild West having a short jacket like Jim used to wear.. we would gang up on him and make him eat dirt, he just laughed it off. I realize we don't find our perfect soul mate in life...so I don't blame him for looking for love. He found it in Grace in the Philippines! Again, I think it was the right thing to do. Well Patrick RIP brother!!! Randy Castro from 1548 San Pablo Avenue, your neighbor.

To Patrick's family I want to express my sincere condolences. I was so shocked to hear of Patrick's passing .I have known Patrick for about 20 years. We first met when Patrick worked at the Los Palos office in Salinas. The young lady who was helping me at that visit was having a hard time drawing my blood. She couldn't find a good vain so she asked for Patrick's help. Being the pro that he was he found a vain right away. I had no pain and no bruising. We hit it off right that day and every time I needed a blood drawl he would my Phlebotomist. We would share a little of what was going on in our lives. His marriage, his trip to the Philippines and other things. It sadden me so much to hear he had passed that I cried in my car. I just wanted you to know how I felt and that I will be praying for you his family and friends. He was a very special man. Rest in peace Patrick I know we'll meet again my friend.

We were shocked and saddened to learn this week that Patrick had passed. He was a compassionate and skilled phlebotomist whose personality brought comfort and cheer to all he encountered. Having known him over the last 40 years, he will be missed .

Hey Pat,
It is still so hard to believe and difficult to accept. You were so full of life and still had many plans and things to do. In the end we are very glad you found Grace and happiness! I was happy for you. You have always worked hard and was an outstanding provider. Your children had a roof over their heads and everything necessary to grow up and graduate from college. You deserved a lot and you deserved to be happy. At least we know you are in a better place and can rest in peace. We will miss you and will not forget you. Thank you for being our neighbor, our friend, our brother, and play leader. You and Tommy are in my daily prayers so that you may be granted eternal rest and may the Lord's perpetual light shine upon the both of you always. You guys rest in peace.

I worked with Patrick from the beginning until I left
In 2011. Patrick was one of the hardest workers I have ever known. His care for his patients could not be matched by anyone. He was a leader, a trainer and most of all one of the most compassionate human beings I have ever known. Everyone at SVMH
Can be replaced, but not Patrick. He was one of a kind.

Patrick was not only technically excellent at his job but always had a kind word. I experienced it myself, observing him with patients and especially when my mother was aged and had "hard veins to find". She was always so happy when Patrick was on at PC. She knew he would get the draw the first time and I always heard them chuckling afterwards. Patrick you will be missed. May the Lord be with your wife and family.

Patrick and his family lived across the street from me and my family. We were childhood friends. We were so fortunate to have a great bunch of siblings to hang out with. When we left to relocate we kept in touch for a little while, then got reacquainted as adults with families of our own. He was always the same man with a big smile and nice things to say...we saw each other last year and we both agreed we aged well and reminisced a little about our childhood...I miss Patrick a great deal and know that he is serving a bigger purpose now.

My husband, Patrick Aldape, age 58 years old. He was born August 14, 1958
We got married April 20, 2016 in the Philippines at the Municipality of Bacarra. He love to eat pork ribs adobo, pork sinigang, chopsuey, pancit and a lot more. He likes the culture and tradition of the Filipino. He speak a little bit ilocano like "ay-ayaten ka" means ILOVEYOU. He always run early in the morning in the Phi. But at night he always walked with my dog named "Simba". Patrick has a good heart, a loving husband, good looking, caring partner, he has a beautiful smile that kills the negativity into your mind, he was full of surprises, a joker to my siblings, caring and most of all he was a God fearing.

Our sincere sympathy and prayers to the family.
We will miss Patrick dearly. His comments that made us laugh, his favorite phrases that surely got us smiling, and his love and respect towards his patients, were part of him that we will always remember. In return, he was mostly loved by his co-workers and patients as well as the physicians that worked with him.
"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen."
Sincerely,
Phil and Marie Rono
