Gloria, I was deeply saddeded to learn of Gene's passing. I have so many fond memories of him. Whether we were working together at the MCWRA or playing golf at Sherwood Greens, I always enjoyed Gene's humor, quick wit, work ethic, and most of all his integrity. He was truely one of the "good guys." I will miss him. May your memories comfort you in this difficult time.

Although I can not make it there my heart is there with the family. Uncle Gene will be missed but he leaves a great legacy to live on forever. Stories will be told, laughter and tears will develop from the memories and he will never be forgotten. Thank you Uncle Gene for all you have done and shared with me and we know you look down and watch over us still today.

Gloria, Barbara and family, we are so sad that Gene has gone to heaven. He was a sweet cousin. His faith was equal to Aunt Virgie's and we were so sure he was going to BEAT this cancer. This just doesn't seem real. Even tho you guys are so far away, we love you and want you to know our prayers are with you. We loved him dearly. May God be with you and comfort you.

Gloria, My heart bleeds for you and the family and those of us left behind. As for Gene, you know he is where he is where he worked hard to earn, always knew he was going; and is now one of our angles, looking down with that silly grin so well represented in the picture you all used to remember him by. He was always so ready with a smile and a kind work of support. Gene always had that glint in his eye that indicated he was just waiting for you to crack him up, or was looking for an opening to make you bust up or smile. A truer gentleman and better friend I cannot name and I admired him and you very much. Forty five years of success in marriage says so much about the both of you. So gracious. He and I both knew that I should have been working for him and I so lucky to have known him personally, far more than professionally. He really is, and always will be, one of my heros. Love and Peace to all.

We have such wonderful memories of Gene, as he helped make the Festival happen in the early days of the event. I'll NEVER forget the kind words he wrote me in a note when my father passed away.
Losing warriors of the faith like Gene make us long for the GREAT reunion that we'll have someday.
